New kid on the block…

Hey Bon Jour everyone,

We’d like to take a second to welcome our new and first grom skater, Dontae “Snake”Overton!!! He hails from that far out land of Victorville, but he gets around So Cal a lot and is competing constantly. When he’s in your area, you’ll know him by his signature SNAKE design (which he designed himself). He’s a chill dude for only being 11 and we’re totally stoked to have him on our team as a bowl rider who will be representing us and his other sponsors at events and comps. He’s got some great talent and is definitely on his way up, so watch out for The Snake….Stand By

Vans Am Slam – Dillion, Mark & Tigger!!!!

Props to our buys who are in this video and a special shout out to our boy Tigger (Keith Wick) for getting the SOTH Slam Of The Day…way to chanel Muska dude!

It’s official, Dillion rolled his ankle!!

While we were at the Venice skate park, Dillion rolled his ankle while warming up (yeah we know!!), we were only there for about 15 mins. when it happened. He’ll be off his board for 2 weeks. looks like he’s trading in his skateboard for a pair of crutches.

We hope it gets better soon man…

Our Twitter account was compromised!

Hey everyone,

just an FYI, Twitter thinks that our Stand by account may have been compromised and i had to change all our passwords for everything now. I have gotten some spam in the last couple days from our account, so we acted on it and were right (guess it helps to be an IT guy every now and then;~)

Skaters current Vans Am SLAM standing

just checked and Dillion Lantry is placed 9th overall so far in Vans AM SLAM!!! And in the next division, Mark B is placed 6th overall in the SLAM!!!

Just an FYI, Edgar had personal matters to tend to and Keith Wick placed a bit lower in the overall cuz, although he busted some major Muska stuff, he didn’t land some of them =(

Way to go guys, we’re very proud of you dudes for representin’!!!

Bad News! Jurupa Comp. Cancelled!

So, due to logistics we will no longer be having the skate comp in Jurupa on the 11th of December.  But for those of you who were planning on attending this event or even competing, remain on “stand by” and keep checking back for updates on here and our Twitter, Facebook and Myspace.  we have some other stuff that we are planning for the NEAR future.  So, sorry once again for being the bearer of bad news. but look at it this way, it can’t rain all the time.

Good things are coming. (i could feel it in my nuggets)

NEW DESIGNS!

So we have been designing like crazy and instead of bringing some new tees out for you right now we decided to wait until the new year to come out with our next line of clothing. the designs are sure to be fresh enough to launch us all into 2010 (said “twenty ten”) with some style. what better way to start off the new year then with a fresh Stand By tee.

we might sneak preview some stuff as we get closer to the new year so check back often.

*Important Note: While writing this post I spawned the idea to have a “Fresh Start” sale. the idea is simple. New Years is right around the corner and i want to make a pre-resolution to do everything in my power to get as many people as i can into a Fresh Stand By tee to start the new year off right. when i say fresh tee i mean freshly designed “NEW MERCH”. at an extremely discounted price (YAYYY!!). but we will release the Info for that once we iron out all the details.

Jurupa Jam – Skate Competition! Open to local skaters of all ages. Dec. 11, 2009

If you are local to Jurupa and the surrounding area in Riverside, then you MUST save the date of Dec. 11, 2009 for the Jurupa Jam (Contest info is on the flyer below). This place is sure to get packed out with local spectators so make sure you arrive early enough to get a good spot as admission is Free! Food and Drinks will also be on sale. and of course we will be setting up shop on site, and you can expect some SUPER SAVER deals on all our products… just in time for the holidays!

Proposal for Jurupa skate event went great!

We met with the board members in charge of Jurupa Skate Park this evening to present our proposal to host an event at the skate park. We have some legal and safety things to finalize and then after that, time to skate and give free stuff away and we’re hoping by mid -December…ish!!!

The board was very happy to be able to support a function like this for their skaters and they are very excited and committed to supporting this so that it will be a successful event and, hopefully, will be an ongoing thing for you guys out in the IE. More news to come
